Niki Tsongas 11 Kearney Square, 3rd Floor Lowell, MA 01852 Dear Niki Tsongas: I am writing you, as my House Representative in the Congress of The United States, in regard to the HEALTH BILL that Speaker, Nancy Pelosi, has just presented and is pushing for passage by November 11, 2009, by both the House and the Senate. It is of great concern to me that a bill of 1990 pages is presented and expected to be examined, digested or even “read over” in that shortness of time in order to be voted on! Actually it is absurd! The American people do not deserve such an injustice! I am sure you and all the other House Representatives and all the Senators as well cannot possibly have time to read it over and decide if it is indeed worthy of their vote for passage as responsible representatives of the American people. The print-out on the Web is absolutely impossible to follow for even the most astute of us! In addition I do find that, contrary to what the President has stated, Federal funds for “abortion” are indeed included in this bill which is not what the majority of the citizens of this country want. It is most definitely against my conscience to have any of my tax dollars go to pay for abortions which in reality is “murders”! I am certain it is not God’s will and that HE will not bless a nation committing such abomination! Also I am very concerned as to what the effects of this bill will be to the “elderly” of which I am one. It does not look good to me! Lastly, I think that the cost will be exorbitant along with this country already in such debt and so many people struggling and suffering to survive already! This bill does need “changes”! I do favor a bill to help all the citizens but not at the cost of innocent lives, young or old, or putting this country in more terrible straits than it already is for our children, grandchildren, etc. for time to come. I believe you wish to hear from your constituents. I am sorry this letter may be a bit long. I implore you to not vote in favor of this bill as it is at this time. I respect you and thank you for being my representative and I will keep you in my prayers as one in authority over me and others.
